I hope this isn’t a sign…

I forced myself up Dark and Early this morning, determined to start out right, despite only getting about 4 hours of sleep.  I was pretty groggy, The Fire Within was not so fiery but rather cold after sitting while I did edits on Survive My Fire this weekend, and the biggest mistake of all–I stopped in the middle of a sex scene.  Sigh.

Determined, though, I ground and hammered (get your minds out of the gutter) my way through that scene.  I was determined to get 1K before I needed to wake up everyone for church at 7:30.

At 900 words, PM (princess monster) came stumbling in, crying.  “My throat hurts so bad, Mom!”  No fever, but she was emotional, obviously not feeling well, and her throat was red.  If you’ve read this blog for long, you know we have a terrible history of strep.  So I let everybody sleep in and called the clinic at 9:00 a.m. to get an appointment. 

Sure enough.  Strep.  By the time we got home with her antibiotics, she was running a fever.

Now the icing on cake:  we took the kids to see Ratatouille yesterday and SHARED DRINKS.

Please, tell me this isn’t going to turn into “70 days of STREP.”
