NANO: Day Twenty Four
What a great game the Mizzou/Kansas border war ended up being! Of course being a MO girl and growing up at another black-and-gold school, we cheered for the Tigers. Next week’s game against OU will be exciting to say the least, with the possibility of a national title looming…
And yay, Bill Callahan was fired by the University of Nebraska, one of my old schools. In forty years, the Cornhuskers never had a losing season until he came along. Appropriately, the Chiefs are playing HIS old team tomorrow in the same stadium that Mizzou won in tonight. Hopefully the Chiefs will play as great.

You’re almost at the 50k mark, good for you. Hope your Thanksgiving was good. Just thought I’d drop by and say hello.

Of course, being in KC, we participated in the revelries whether we wanted to or not. LOL!
It was a good game, though. I thought it would be less definitive than it was, but being a MO gal myself, I’m pleased with the outcome.
Oddly enough, my school here in MO also did the black and gold thing–must be a fairly common combo of colors for schools.

As someone who grew up in FL with a family full of Gator fans, I have only one thing to say…..GO DUCKS!!!!

I forgive you for your association with the Chiefs. It’s a regional thing.
My Raiders will do their best to upset the feel good weekend for ya!

Thanks a lot, Travis. Do you know how difficult it is to be in the same house with That Man when the Chiefs lose? Let alone 4 games in a row. AT HOME. The dog may never come out from beneath the bed.
Ann, I’ve never liked the FL teams myself. Big Twelve all the way!
Cheryl, there’s a black and gold team around here, too. I didn’t realize you were in KC. How cool!
Thanks, Tina! Hope you had a great holiday!

I have a lot of catching up to do because this week was really not a productive as I wanted it to be. Monday will be a bear as I’m going to start putting the various scenes I wrote together. I can it connecting the dots and I’m NOT looking forward to it at all.
Glad to see you’ve been keeping your word count up, Joely. Great job!

You’re on track for a good NaNo finish. Keep up the good work.
I’m a Big Ten gal, myself (Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa — in that order). Since I’m trying to become an Aggie, I’m paying more attention to the Big 12 this year. (I’m married to an agnostic Aggie — one who could care less about football — imagine?)
At least my Vikings TROUNCED the Giants today. And Green Bay is continuing their winning ways.
And Auburn won their 6th straight Iron Bowl. All is right in the football world.
Go, Spurs, Go.

You’re so close. I have no idea what to say about football. It’s not a big thing up here.
