Yours to Take Giveaway

To celebrate Vicki in print, I’m going to give away a signed print copy of Yours to Take and a $25 gift certificate to any online bookstore (AMZ, B&N, etc.)   This time, I’ll try out Rafflecopter to manage the entries.  One of the ways you can enter is to simply comment on this blog post.

I’m working on Mama Connagher’s book, tentatively titled A Hard Woman.  If you’ve read any of the other Connagher books, what do you think about her?  e.g. is there a particular detail you have in your mind?  A habit or trait you’ve picked up from the other books?  I’m just curious to see what people think of her, even though she’s never had a POV before.

Of course you can just throw your name in the hat by commenting on this entry too.  This giveaway is open to anyone on the planet!

  1. I love and admire Mama Connagher and can’t wait to read her story!

  2. I love the title! I am really eager to see a story like this with a heroine in her fifties.

  3. Always happy to throw my name in a drawing. Thanks, Joely, for this opportunity.

  4. Most of the impressions of Mama Connagher I have, I picked up through Vicki, since her relationship with her mother influenced so much of her life. But I remember being totally intrigued when we found out just exactly what kind of partnership she had with her husband.

  5. I haven’t read those books yet.

  6. I think “A Hard Woman” is the perfect title for Mama Connagher’s book. It’s a defining characteristic, yes, but it’s also only one of her many layers, as I’m sure will be the case with her book. Many, many layers.

  7. I see her as strong, and loving. Not overly into outward showing of affection even though she loves her family deeply. I’m waiting anxiously for her story.

  8. I love the Connaghers. A story about Mama Connagher would be the icing on the cake! I agree with the others that she has any layers and we all know she is a strong independent woman. After the way she spoke her husband and their relationship V when he came to her for advice, I could see her battling with perusing her desires with someone other then her husband. I can’t wait for this!!!!!!! 😛 😮 😛

  9. Yea for print books! As much as I adore ebooks, nothing compares to holding a book in your hand! Thank you for the contest!

  10. I haven’t read any of the series yet!

  11. I am so freaking excited to hear mama is getting her story. She intrigued from the first time. When she said to Victor about her riding crop disappearing and their subsequent conversation about her place in that dynamic. All three kids have spoken of her and too her and you can see that while she is a caring, loving woman. She has that hard edge to her also. We saw that in her relationship with Vicki and how it influenced her so much. I love this family so much, and I am so freaking excited to see beneath the exterior of mama and see what makes her tick that much more.

  12. please throw my name into the hat 🙂
